Partnering with organizations invested in helping communities thrive through arts initiatives.

As a proud member of the Artist Communities Alliance (ACA), I’m invested in advancing arts initiatives that tackle history, underrepresented heritage, social justice, culture and environmental issues.

Over time, I’ve worked with artists, art supporters, residency directors, government leaders, activists, and students to help guide their work, and collaborate on community-building and change-based activist and advocacy initiatives in these areas.

My first-hand experience with inclusive and transformational artist residencies and community arts initiatives drives my interest in continuing to expand my expertise and leadership in this area.

“The Mobile Medical Museum has worked with April on several commissioned projects since 2017. We have found her to be full of creativity, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness. The strong bonds that April has forged with community leaders enrich her creative process and make new collaborations possible. The work that she has done for the Museum continues to draw attention and praise from our visitors.”
